Your Mission


Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. This includes sizing and designing electrical distribution, selecting equipment, and overseeing all engineering tasks, from drafting plans and specifications to on-site installation, as well as project follow-ups and technical validations.

Your Role

Your primary responsibilities and tasks will include:

  • Designing charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, including selecting charging stations and sizing and designing electrical distribution from the electrical service connection to the charging stations.
  • Evaluating and analyzing client operations and functional requirements to define charging needs and technical criteria for developing tailored solutions.
  • Conducting fleet studies based on collected operational data.
  • Performing load calculations, option analyses, and drafting technical recommendations.
  • Preparing technical plans and specifications for engineering procurement packages.
  • Defining electrical engineering plans and supervising CAD designers in producing technical drawings (single-line diagrams, general arrangements, connection instructions, etc.).
  • Collaborating on site assessments, preparing electrical connection requests, and acting as a technical liaison with electricity distributors (e.g., Hydro-Québec).
  • Ensuring project compliance with applicable codes, standards, and equipment manufacturer specifications.
  • Performing technical surveys and on-site/field supervision when necessary.
  • Inspecting equipment and ensuring the quality of completed work.
  • Acting as a technical expert for project proposals (sales support) and customer service when needed.
  • Promoting and sharing industry best practices in engineering management.
  • Developing and updating the organization’s technical knowledge base in collaboration with other specialists.
  • Supporting the project team and the service department as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; IGEE program is an asset.
  • Member of the Quebec Order of Engineers (OIQ).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in studying, designing, and commissioning low and medium-voltage electrical systems or industrial electrical equipment.
  • Proficiency in electrical standards applicable to electrical equipment and building systems (CSA, IEEE, Quebec Construction Code).
  • Experience connecting electrical infrastructure to the Hydro-Québec grid and applying Hydro-Québec standards (asset).
  • Experience in consulting engineering (asset).
  • Bilingual: Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
